Subject:
   Effective Communication of Performance Measures

at Gerdau Ameristeel

ASQ Certification Achievers

Congratulations!
The following members  were successful in the June 2005 ASQ certification exams:

Certified Quality Auditor:
Quang V. Nguyen
Jeff A. Race
Anne Christine Sheresky

Luz Maria Kisiel

Certified Quality Engineer:
Scott A. Bernard
Amanpreet Singh Gill
Martin Batelaan

Gerdau Ameristeel has achieved an effective Business Quality Management System through its comprehensive system for measuring and communicating the performance of all aspects of its business.  A “traffic light” monitoring and reporting system, an online system of “one-minute” process reminders, and newsletters full of interesting company facts and features sent to the home, are just some examples of the “visual management” style of the company that has made it successful.

This presentation will address these communication methods as well as the importance of TEAM and how to make using “experts”, communicating quality tools and facilitating (not managing) TEAM work for you.
