Note :
The Plainsman Restaurant on Hwy5, 2 miles West of Highway 6 in Dundas, Ontario has been arranged as the permanent dinner meeting location of the Sec 0400 for the 2003 / 2004 session. Charge for the dinner and the presentation is currently $25.00, with a cash bar. There is no charge for only the presentation.

Prior to the Dinner we have a special presentation by Barbara Fisk, Chair of the 58th Annual Quality Congress, Site Committee. Here’s a chance to find out more about this exciting event occurring in Toronto in May of 2004. If you’ve contemplated attending this dynamic event or becoming involved as a volunteer here’s a great opportunity to find out what’s being planned and how you can further your ASQ membership value by getting involved.

The October membership meeting will present Dwight Cameron of GRT (GR.Technologies). Dwight will be speaking on "5S or not 5S".

Regardless of the nature of you business, 5S should be first on your ‘to-do’ list for employee involvement and continuous improvement. Low investment, high cost savings payback, improved productivity, better quality, fewer accidents. The list goes on. Find out how the simple common sense ideas of 5S workplace organization can propel your company to world class status. This presentation will answer the following questions:

Dwight Cameron is President and owner of GRT, training and consulting firm for management systems and business improvements. Dwight develops and delivers training with emphasis on a practical and value-added approach to individuals and businesses. His managerial experience includes automotive and international companies. He has taught at Ryerson and Sheridan College. He is currently director of ASQ and has been chairman of the Toronto Section twice.
